The Departement of Dermatology at the Zurich University Hospital (www.usz.ch)
is an internationally renown clinic for the diagnosis and treatment of
skin diseases, as well as for its research activities in skin cancer and
allergic/inflammatory skin diseases. Our team of 14 senior physicians
provides first-class expertise for the prevention, diagnosis and
treatment of diseases of the skin, nails, hair, and secually transmitted
infections. Skin care and cosmetic dermatology are also a subject of
specialized management in our Department. Our diagnostic services
include: clinical examination by experienced, internationally recognized
dermatologists, dermoscopy, videomicroscopy, confocal imaging of the
skin, mycology, allergy testing including patch-testing, and skin
histopathology. Our interventional therapeutic platform includes:
various types of UV-therapy, photodynamic therapy, photopheresis,
lasertherapy including cosmetic procedures, radiotherapy, and
dermatologic surgery including MOHS micrographic surgery. The
departement is a center of excellence in allergology (GALEN-certified),
and offers speciality clinics for skin cancer (melanoma, non-melanoma
skin cancer, cutaneous lymphoma), early detection of skin cancer and
prevention, immunosuppressed patients, acné, psoriasis, bullous and
autoimmune skin diseases, occupational and contact dermatitis, hair
disorders, sexually transmitted infections, and cosmetic dermatology.
