The Dep of Angiology offers a wide range of services
covering the full spectrum of vascular diseases both in the outpatient
and inpatient sections. Our physicians are specialized in the diagnosis
and management of poor circulation to the legs and the abdominal organs,
carotid artery disease (www.usz.ch),
peripheral and aortic aneurysms, and venous diseases and are dedicated
to providing the highest level of patient care. They are skilled in
using the newest technology to open blocked arteries by using
catheter-based minimal invasive methods (balloon angioplasty, stents,
cutting balloons and much more). Further services include endovascular
treatment options for varicose veins in an outpatient setting and
interdisciplinary angiodysplasia consultations. Research focuses on
peripheral arterial occlusive disease and microcirculation.
